Moms and Me
This class will consist of mothers and children playing in different mediums. It's and opportunity for mothers and their kids to come to get creative together! Activities will include finger painting portraits, pictures with stamps, abstract water painting, and colorful fruit blocks.
Wednesdays 10:30 am - noon January 4th - March 7th
Cost $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members or nine class series: 9 classes: $85 members/$100 non-members.

Portraits Through Art and Time
Each week students will learn about a new art movement, ranging from Impressionist to Cubism to Pop Art. Nicole will highlight an artist from each movement whose work will be the inspiration for the students paintings. Students will then create three different drawings based on the artist's work that was studied and then choose one to turn into a painting.
Wednesdays 4-5pm January 4th - March 7th

Bead supplies are provided in the supply kit, and there are always a few color ways to choose from, even if the pictures do not show the available colors. Scissors and a beading matt will be provided, just show up and bead. Register for class at Valley Art by phone or in person.

Nifty Needles
Description: Learn the Peyote stitch using these wonderful hex shaped beads. Embellish the edges and finish the piece off with pearls for a closure.

Intermediate to Advanced Adult Pottery
This class is designed for intermediate to advanced students. You will learn advanced pottery techniques, such as surface decoration, making tea pots, lidded jars, and more. Class size is limited to 8 students, so please sign up in advance. Please wear old clothing to this class, or bring an apron. You must bring an old towel for clean up. We will make pottery through week 5 or 6 and glaze/decorate our pottery weeks 7 & 8.
Tuesdays from 6:30pm - 9:30pm March 27 - May 15 from 6:30-9:30pm.

Beginning to Intermediate Adult Pottery
This class is designed for beginning to intermediate students. You will learn handbuilding with the slab roller and throwing techniques on the pottery wheel. Class size is limited to 8 students, so please sign up in advance. Please wear old clothing to this class, or bring an apron. You must bring an old towel for clean up. We will make pottery through week 5 or 6 and glaze/decorate our pottery weeks 7 & 8.

Family Pottery
Drop in for an afternoon of fun with the whole family making clay pottery. Demonstrations will be given. Every 4 weeks I will hold a glazing session for everyone at no extra cost. Description: Hardanger embroidery is a delicate form of openwork which originated in the Hardanger region of Norway hundreds of years ago. This is an ongoing class and may be joined at anytime. All levels from beginning to advanced are welcome. Each person works on their own project.

Description: Open to all levels to learn watercolor techniques. Learn art basics such as color mixing and drawing skills as you learn about preparing your paper for watercolor, brush handling, and a wide range of techniques.
